INVITATION TO EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT

INVITATION TO EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT

The Government of Grenada (GoG), in collaboration with Grenada Electricity Services Ltd. (GRENLEC), is advancing a strategic investment in utility-scale battery energy storage to strengthen the country’s energy resilience and accelerate the integration of renewable energy. As part of this initiative, the GoG is undertaking an early market engagement to inform the design and implementation of a 10.6 MW / 21.2 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Maurice Bishop International Airport.

The engagement session will bring together interested suppliers, developers, and technical partners to present the project scope, outline the proposed procurement approach, and share the anticipated implementation timeline. Participants will also be invited to provide feedback on technical requirements, delivery models, potential risks, and market constraints, through guided discussions and structured questions. Insights gathered during the session will be used to refine the project design and inform the upcoming procurement processes.
