EVs Are Better is a 20-part digital series developed under the NDC Transport, Energy and Climate (NDC-TEC) Programme Through the NDC-TEC Programme implemented by the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE), The University of the West Indies, The Caribbean Development Bank and Climate Analytics with support from German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) through its International Climate Initiative (IKI) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Launched on World EV Day in 2025, the series showcases how Caribbean nations are accelerating the shift to electric mobility through coordinated policy, technical innovation, regional collaboration, and real-world pilot projects.
From national EV roadmaps and smart charging infrastructure to marine electrification and regional standards under CARICOM’s Regional Electric Vehicle Strategy (REVS), this series documents the region’s transition from ambition to implementation.
